Plan a trip
Our goal is to connect the skills and resources of people around the world with the local leadership of our remote fishing village.
By choosing to stay at Casa Pelicano, you’ll experience the beauty and culture of a people who rely on the sea for survival. On your trip there will be plenty of time to walk down the beach, learn to surf, enjoy the sunset, or even help a baby sea turtle find its way to the ocean. But you’ll also have the opportunity to make a difference in our community by volunteering in our local children’s programs. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday La Tribu Radiante is alive with local children working hard to pursue a better education. We can always use help serving a meal, playing a rowdy game of kickball, or supplying an art project. Your time with us may be temporary, but the impact of your experience will be long lasting.

There is a restaurant next door serving local fare and pizzas, but hours are sporadic. Another option is a Nicaraguan comedor with two options on the menu: fried fish or chicken with rice. In order for you to fully relax during your stay, we offer the meal plan below.
